About

The Full Story

Heather Williams is an educational leader, researcher, and founder whose work sits at the intersection of learning, ethical leadership, and inner transformation. With more than a twenty years of experience in teaching and learning and decade of experience across post-secondary education, research consulting, and program design, she has led initiatives that strengthen relationships between institutions, communities, and the people they serve.

Integral Learning Institute grew from Heather’s professional leadership and a lifelong orientation toward transformation. A mentor once observed that she has a rare ability to work with what is difficult and make something enduring from it—an insight that reflects decades of experience navigating complexity with care and integrity.

Heather has spent years working within large, dynamic institutions, where she developed a deep understanding of how learning, repair, and ethical decision-making unfold under real-world pressures. These experiences, alongside periods of loss and personal change, shaped her interest in how people recover direction after disruption: how leaders learn after mistakes, how professionals heal from harmful environments, and how values are carried forward in uncertain times.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to learning as an inner and relational process—one that cultivates discernment, responsibility, and courage. Heather’s courses and facilitation invite participants to slow down, reflect honestly, and develop the inner capacities required for ethical action in real-world contexts.

She lives and works in British Columbia, Canada, and continues to collaborate with educators, organizations, and learners who are seeking more humane, conscious, and grounded ways of leading and learning.
